Magic Candy Bar Slider

You will need:
  • 6” x 6” cardstock
  • Cardstock Scraps
  • Bone Folder
  • Paper Cutter
  • Adhesive
  • Punches
  • Ink and Sponge
  • Basic Black marker
  • Paper snips
  • Hersheys Bar
  • Ribbon

Start by scoring your 6” x 6” piece of cardstock at ½” and 3- ¼”
Place Sticky Strip on the ½” side and on the bottom.

Remove backing from sticky tape and adhere.
Crimp the bottom card with a crimper.

For all the face pieces, I found the best adhesive to use is the 2-way glue. Just be sure to adhere your piece when the glue is blue so that it is permanent.

Hair: Punch two 1-3/8” circles half way on the bottom of a 3” x 1-1/2” piece of Basic Black Cardstock. Adhere to top of card front.

Eyes: Punch one 1-1/4” circles of the Bashful Blue. Sponge edges. Cut in half for eyelids.
Punch two 1-1/4” Whisper White Circles.
Punch two ¾” circles of Basic Black. Assemble pieces.

Nose: Punch one ¾” circle of Bashful Blue. Sponge edges. Cut in half.

Mouth: Punch one 1-3/4” oval and use as a guide to trace with a Basic Black Marker.

Teeth: Snip Whisper White triangles.

The Ribbon (the magic!)

Wrap your ribbon around the length of your candy bar and leave enough room at the top to comfortably tie a knot. Do not tie a knot yet.

Punch a hole through all layers, at the top of your card.

Guide the ribbon through the hole, front and back.

Push the candy bar into the pocket. The candy bar will push the ribbon down to the bottom of the pocket.

Tie a knot at the top of your card once the candy bar is pushed all the way into the pocket.

Pull the knot and the Candy Bar
comes out!
