Tent Card

Tent Card
This cute little card would make a nice place setting card at your Thanksgiving table!

Here is what you will need:

One 3" x 6" cardstock for your base (scored at 3") I used Cajun Craze
One 3" x 2" piece of cardstock for the stand
Two 2-3/4" square pieces of Designer Paper - I used Pear Pizzaz and Peach Parfait from the In Color Hostess pack
Bone Folder
Sticky Tape
1-3/8" circle punch
1-3/4" circle punch
Stamps -I used Autumn Harvest and Teeny Tiny Wishes

Adhere one of the 4" patterned paper squares to the front of the card (optional).   Then use your 1-3/8" circle punch to make a window.

To make a frame around your window, first punch out a 1-3/8" circle on cardstock, then viewing through the bottom, line up your 1-3/4" circle punch to punch out the frame.

Adhere your frame to your window on the front of the card. Because it is a thin frame, I used  2-way glue.

Next, adhere your second 2-3/4" square piece of Designer Paper to the inside of your card.

Stamp, Color and cut out your image and designs for the front of the card.  I used the Autumn Harvest Set and colored it with the Marker Watercolor technique.  Attach your finished image, with glue dots, to the front of the card so it appears suspended in the window.

To make the stand for your Tent Card, use your 3" x 2" cardstock.  Score at 1/2", 1" and  1-1/2".

Fold the score lines in mountain/valley style. The center fold has to go up (mountain), the two outer folds have to face down (valley).

It should look like a "W".

Apply Sticky Tape to both flaps.

Line up the first fold of the folded cardstock with the bottom of the back of the card.

Make sure the second fold of the folded cardstock piece will point up.

Adhere the bottom of the card front to the edge of the fold of the card bottom.

Your Tent Card is Finished!
